How do I get started?

You can sign up online right now. It's easy and takes about two minutes. As soon as you sign up you will receive a welcome email with simple instructions on getting your tri-merge (three bureau) credit report and getting it to us. We will also ask for some personal identification to facilitate the prompt processing of our disputes with the credit bureaus. If you sign up now we should have your first round of dispute letters out within a week. Back to Questions

What is the cost?

Our cost structure is designed to be as accommodating as possible. There is a one-time review/setup fee of $49. Your first monthly fee of $49 is not charged until a month later. We charge only as work is completed, never in advance. You pay as you go, and can cancel anytime with no further obligation. And if you are signing up with your spouse, it gets even better; we will discount their monthly fee by fifty percent! Back to Questions

Are there additional fees?

We do not charge any fees other than our review/setup fee and subsequent monthly fees. But we require a recent tri-merge (three bureau) credit report to get started, so you should allow for that expense. Back to Questions

What is included?

The Sky Blue Method combines the ease of professionally managed credit bureau disputes with the personalized advice you need to succeed, and includes 1) a detailed review of your credit report to note the issues that are harming your credit and to identify opportunities to optimize your credit scores, 2) dispute letters sent to the credit bureaus, and 3) debt validation letters sent to collectors (if you provide us with collection letters received in the last 30 days. Can you help with outstanding debt?

We always examine each account to determine the correctness of the reporting, but our program does not provide a remedy for legitimate debt. If you have a significant debt issue you may want to resolve it prior to considering our service. Back to Questions

Do you offer debt negotiation or settlement services?

We do not provide negotiation or settlement services. If you plan to make a settlement offer on your own we may be able provide guidance, but we do not communicate directly with creditors or collectors except for the purpose of requesting debt validation. Back to Questions

What is debt validation?

If you receive a collection letter you have the right, for 30 days, to ask the collector to provide proof of their right to collect as well as an accounting of the amount due. This is called debt validation. If you receive a collection letter while enrolled in our program and question the validity of the debt, or wish to confirm its accuracy prior to initiating settlement on your own, we will be happy to send a debt validation letter on your behalf. How do I get my credit report?

If you belong to a monitoring service that offers a tri-merge (three bureau) report, that is fine. If not, when you sign up we will provide a list of our favorite choices where you can access your report in minutes. Please note that we do not accept the free individual credit bureau reports available from AnnualCreditReport.com. Back to Questions

How do I send my credit report to you?

You will get simple instructions when you sign up – but generally we prefer that you provide the website address where you have obtained your report, as well as your login information so we can access it directly online. Back to Questions

When I get my credit report, does it hurt my scores?

When you request your own report it has no impact on your credit scores. There are two types of inquiries, "hard" and "soft". A hard inquiry will affect your score - and occurs when you apply for new credit. A soft inquiry will not affect your score - and occurs in three instances: 1) when you request your own credit report, 2) when potential lenders check your credit prior to offering you pre-approved credit, and 3) when a current lender conducts a periodic review of an existing account. Can you get my credit report for me?

Credit repair businesses cannot order credit reports for their customers. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (Section 604) prohibits the credit bureaus from furnishing credit reports to third parties for any reasons outside of the FCRA definition of "permissible purposes" which include determination of credit worthiness, underwriting of insurance, and employment screening. Why do you ask for identification?

The credit bureaus often request personal identification prior to processing a dispute. By providing it up front we minimize delays - and significantly improve the efficiency of the process. Our only goal is to get the job done quickly, and to deliver the best value. Back to Questions

When should I start to see results?

If you sign up today we should have your first round of dispute letters out within a week. And since the credit bureaus have 30 days to process disputes, you should see initial results in about a month. On an ongoing basis, you should see results each month you are in the program. How long does the program last?

Everyone’s situation is different, but the average customer is with us for six months. The duration of the program depends on the number of items on your report that need to be disputed, as well as the responsiveness of the credit bureaus. Once you sign up we will review your credit report and give you a better assessment of your time frame. Back to Questions

How many items do you dispute at a time?

Unless your situation dictates otherwise, we dispute 15 items (5 items per bureau) every 35 days. Many companies dispute far fewer items at a much slower pace. Our schedule is designed to deliver the optimal result in the shortest time. Back to Questions

Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes, if you are not satisfied with our service we will refund your money. No one in our business can predict a specific outcome, but we can assure you that we will do everything possible to maximize the likelihood of great results. Should I sign up my spouse at the same time?

We suggest that you both sign up. We offer a 50% couples discount to encourage you to sign up at the same time. As a couple you may share a significant number of accounts, or you may share none. Do we have to be married to get the couples discount?

You do not have to be married to get the discount. If you live together and pay together we invite you to sign up as a couple. Back to Questions

Can you help us build new credit?

If it looks like you will be left with "insufficient credit" when our job is done we will guide you though the process of opening secured credit cards. This is one of the best ways to rebuild credit and improve your credit scores. A secured credit card requires a small savings deposit which usually secures the entire credit line on a MasterCard or Visa. Back to Questions
